Silk Road Global News Awards Opens Submissions to Highlight Belt and Road Initiatives

Islamabad, The Belt and Road News Network (BRNN), under the chairmanship of People’s Daily, has opened submissions for the second Silk Road Global News Awards (SRGNA) as of April 12. The awards are designed to honor exceptional journalism that embodies the Silk Road spirit promoting peace, cooperation, openness, inclusivity, mutual learning, and benefit through coverage of the Belt and Road Initiatives (BRI).

According to Press Information Department, the SRGNA, a key event for BRNN, offers four categories for awards: Best Reporting, Best Photography, Best Video, and Best Innovation. Each category will recognize a grand prize winner, four nominees, and ten finalists. Entries are welcome from media outlets in countries participating in the BRI, with the condition that the submissions be produced by foreign entities or as collaborations between Chinese and foreign creators for release on foreign platforms.

Participants are invited to register and submit their work through the BRNN official website. The selection process includes a preliminary review by an academic committee followed by a final assessment by the SRGNA judging committee. Further details and updates about the awards will be continuously provided on the BRNN website. Pakistani media personnel are particularly encouraged to participate by submitting their works on the BRI.
