City Government removes 19572 Tonnes Garbage in 4 Days


Karachi: A total of 19,572 tonnes of garbage was shifted to city government landfill sites at Jam Chakro and Gondpass during first four days of the 15 day cleanliness drive in city. No garbage was delivered at these sites from Bin Qasim Town and neither other municipal services providers including DHA, KPT, Port Qasim and Pakistan Railway on first four days of present campaign. State Bank revises Branchless Banking Regulations to bring low income segment of society into financial loop


Islamabad: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has revised/ amended the existing Branchless Banking Regulations for Financial Institutions (FIs), which include commercial, Islamic and microfinance banks for expanding the outreach of branchless banking operations in the country. These amendments in the Regulations shall be immediately applicable to all potential FIs. Car bomb kills three in North-Western Pakistan: Police


Peshawar: At least three people including a child were killed Monday in a car bomb blast targeting an anti-Taliban vigilante leader outside the north-western city of Peshawar, police said.
