British Foreign Secretary calls President Zardari, bilateral relations discussed


Islamabad: Mr. William Hague, British Foreign Secretary called on President Asif Ali Zardari and matters pertaining to Pak-UK bilateral relations, strategic dialogue between trade access to EU markets for Pakistan’s goods, collaboration between the two countries in the fields of trade and investment and education came under discussion during the meeting, says a press release received from London here today. Prime Minister Gilani approves grant of Rs.20 Million for endowment of Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy


Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani approved the grant of Rs.20.00 million for endowment of the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP). Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy was established in 2002 on the initiative of his Highness Prince Karim Agha Khan with a view to establish an organization which could certify the credentials of NGOs working in Pakistan. Partners in Protection States and Frontier Regions-UNHCR inaugurate a Photo Exhibition


Islamabad: The Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) and the UN refugee agency today inaugurated a six-day long photo exhibition cataloguing over 30 years of the partnership in assisting Afghan refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs). The exhibition is part of the 60th anniversary commemorations of the 1951 Refuges Convention.
