Karachi, Abbott Laboratories (Pakistan) Limited announced that its 75th Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place on April 22, 2024, at the ICAP Auditorium in Karachi and via video link. The AGM saw the approval of audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2023, along with the Directors’ Report, the Auditors’ Report, and the Chairman’s Review.
The shareholders resolved to appoint EY Ford Rhodes, Chartered Accountants, as the company’s auditors from the conclusion of this AGM until the next AGM. Additionally, the directors were authorized to fix the auditors’ remuneration.
In a move towards digitalization, the company was authorized to circulate its Annual Financial Statements to members through a QR enabled code and weblink. The previous practice of distributing these statements via CD/DVD/USB will be discontinued. The Company Secretary was empowered to undertake all necessary actions to implement these resolutions.
