Srinagar, April 18, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, unidentified gunmen have killed an activist of pro-India Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Pulwama district. The gunmen fired upon the PDP activist, Muhammad Amin Pandit, outside his residence in Awantipora area of the district. “Amin was moved to nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead,” local police said. The 45-year-old Muhammad Amin Pandit was also a village head (Sarpanch).
Last month, Indian armed agents had killed an 80-year-old civilian in the same area. Meanwhile, complete shutdown was observed in Khrew and Pampore areas on Thursday on the occasion of Rasm-e-Chaharum of two youth who were martyred by Indian troops. The troops used brute force and fired teargas shells in Pampore after people attempted to stage protests against Indian state terrorism.
