Islamabad, The escalating issue of drug trafficking from Afghanistan has become a significant concern for countries in the region, with the narcotics trade funding terrorist activities, including those of Al-Qaeda and the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, since the Taliban’s return to power in 2021, opium production in Afghanistan has surged by thirty-two percent.
