Ambassador Tirmizi Visits Zulekha Hospital in Sharjah, Lauds Contributions of Pakistani Doctors

Abu Dhabi: Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi visited Zulekha Hospital in Sharjah on August 25, 2024, following an invitation from Dr. Zulekha Daud, the founder and chairperson of the Zulekha Healthcare Group.

According to Press Information Department, during his visit, Ambassador Tirmizi was welcomed by Dr. Zulekha and Ms. Zanubia Shams, Co-Chairperson of the group. He had the opportunity to meet with Pakistani doctors working at the hospital and learn about the health services provided by the Zulekha Hospital’s branches in Dubai and Sharjah. Established in 1992 in Sharjah and expanded to Dubai in 2004, each facility currently employs 200 doctors, including 25 to 30 from Pakistan.

Ambassador Tirmizi praised the hospital for offering quality, cost-effective health care to underprivileged individuals and families in the UAE. He expressed his appreciation for the professionalism of the hospital staff and the humanitarian efforts of the Pakistani doctors. He encouraged further collaboration between the Zulekha Healthcare Group and the Pakistan Medical Center at the Pakistan Association Dubai to enhance health facilities for expatriates, particularly Pakistanis.
