APHC Raises Alarm Over Detention of Hurriyat Leaders in India

Srinagar, The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) has voiced deep concern regarding the ongoing detention of various Hurriyat leaders and activists held in jails across India and the region of Jammu and Kashmir under Indian administration.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas issued a statement in Srinagar detailing the incarceration of prominent figures such as Hurriyat Chairman Masarat Aalam Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, and others. These leaders, Minhas, are imprisoned under politically charged allegations and face severe conditions lacking fundamental medical and legal provisions.

The APHC criticizes the treatment of these detainees, highlighting the broader struggle for Kashmiri self-determination and the alleged suppression of their advocative efforts by the authorities.
