Around 54,000 prisoners languishing in Punjab’s jails awaiting decisions in their cases: Irfan

PML-N leader Senator Irfan Siddiqui has said that fifty three thousand nine hundred and thirty six prisoners awaiting decisions in their cases are languishing in Punjab’s jails.

In a tweet on Monday, he said these prisoners also include nine hundred and forty four women and their one hundred and thirty three innocent children are also living with them.

The Senator said that fifty two thousand, four hundred and fifty cases are also pending in the Supreme Court for years.
