Karachi, Atlas Battery Limited has announced that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled to take place on September 29, 2023. The meeting will be held in Karachi, offering shareholders the option to attend in person or participate online via Zoom.
The AGM will address various matters, including both ordinary and special business items. Shareholders can expect discussions on the following:
Ordinary Business:
1. Confirmation of EGM Minutes: Shareholders will begin by confirming the minutes of the Extraordinary General Meeting held on May 19, 2023.
2. Approval of Financial Statements: The AGM will receive, consider, and adopt the Audited Annual Financial Statements of the Company for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023. This will encompass the Chairman’s Review, Directors’ Report, and Auditors’ Report. The Company has made these financial statements available for download on its website at [Financial Reports] (https://www.abl.allas.pk/financial-reports/).
3. Final Cash Dividend: Shareholders will consider and approve the payment of a final cash dividend at the generous rate of 100%, amounting to Rs. 10.00 per share, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023. This is in addition to the interim cash dividend of 225% (Rs. 22.50 per share) that has already been disbursed.
4. Appointment of Auditors: The AGM will address the appointment of auditors and the determination of their remuneration for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024. The current auditors, M/s. ShineWing Hameed Chaudhri & Co., Chartered Accountants, who are retiring, will be eligible for reappointment.
Additionally, the company has informed its shareholders that the Share Transfer Books will be closed from September 15, 2023, to September 29, 2023, inclusive of both dates.
