Australian High Commissioner Discusses Women’s Empowerment with Pakistan’s Women’s Parliamentary Caucus

Islamabad: Dr. Shahida Rehmani, Secretary of the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus (WPC) and Member of the National Assembly, hosted a meeting with Australian High Commissioner H.E. Mr. Neil Hawkins today at the Parliament House to deliberate on women’s empowerment and bilateral cooperation.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the session culminated in an agreement to initiate parliamentary exchanges and training workshops aimed at enhancing women’s participation in diverse sectors. The discussions also touched on the achievements of the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus and the steps it has taken to advance women’s roles in Pakistan.

The meeting underscores a joint commitment to strengthening ties and collaborating on gender equality and women’s leadership initiatives, fostering a productive partnership between Australia and Pakistan in these critical areas.
