‘Authorities keeping criminal silence over unnamed graves’

Srinagar, April 05, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, a local human rights forum, the Voice of Victims (VoV) has said that the authorities have kept criminal silence over the issue of thousands of unnamed graves in the territory. The Executive Director of VoV, Abdul Qadeer in a statement issued in Srinagar deplored that the cases registered against hundreds of innocent youth in police stations had not so far, been withdrawn He said that the puppet Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was also not taking action against the human rights violation in the territory.

He said that thousands of unnamed graves were present in the territory but no one knew who had been buried in the graves and how they were killed. He said that the Human Rights Commission of the occupied territory had also confirmed the presence of such graves and had presented its report to the authorities. Abdul Qadeer demanded of the authorities to hold impartial probe into the unnamed graves.
