Balochistan Governor Stresses Enhanced Law Enforcement for Sustainable Peace and Development

Quetta, Balochistan Governor Jafar Khan Mandukhel highlighted the necessity of establishing robust law enforcement links to ensure political stability and economic development in the province. In a comprehensive review of the regional security situation at the Governor House in Quetta, he identified the need for additional measures to maintain peace and order.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting saw the participation of key officials including Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, Inspector General Police Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, and other senior administrators. Governor Mandukhel pointed out that while the law and order situation in the majority of the districts is satisfactory, specific actions are still required to combat sabotage and terrorism, especially in the provincial capital.

The governor also emphasized the importance of protecting the business community, particularly owners of mines and minerals, citing their crucial role in the economic and trade sectors of Balochistan. He noted that ensuring their security would not only improve the overall quality of life but also generate new employment opportunities in the province.

Furthermore, Governor Mandukhel addressed the need for a comprehensive strategy to accommodate the increasing urbanization in Balochistan. He expressed particular concern over rising street crimes, traffic issues, and unrest in Quetta, urging the district administration to implement immediate and effective measures to improve the situation and pave the way for sustainable peace and development.
