Balochistan Health Minister Emphasizes Reforms and Anti-Corruption Measures

Quetta, Balochistan Health Minister Sardarzada Mir Faisal Khan Jamali took charge of his new ministerial responsibilities by presiding over a high-level meeting at the Balochistan Health Secretariat. The meeting, led by Secretary Health Balochistan Abdullah Khan, focused on the provision of health services and ongoing projects in the department.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the briefing to Jamali included discussions about services, hospital resources, and the overall health system in the province. Special Secretary Health Mujibur Rahman Qambrani, Additional Secretary Health Atiqullah Khan, Additional Secretary Health Arif Khan, Deputy Secretary Health Yasir Dashti, Deputy Secretary Health Rasht Ali, Director Admin Balochistan Health Card Dr. Ahmad Wali, Director Technical Balochistan Health Card Dr. Shah Ko, Staff Officer Secretary Health Shaukat Baloch, and other assistants attended the meeting.

Following the meeting, Jamali expressed his commitment to using all available resources to improve medical and general facilities in hospitals. He stated that these efforts align with Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti’s goals of departmental reforms to ensure quality health facilities in Balochistan. He emphasized the importance of focusing on long-term projects rather than temporary arrangements to enhance public confidence in the government healthcare system.

Additionally, Jamali called for strategies to address problems within hospitals, with a continuous review to prevent the waste of resources. The meeting also discussed ensuring better and quality health services for people coming to government hospitals under emergency and general conditions.

Jamali announced that the Balochistan Health Department aims to undertake significant reforms, ensuring that the department becomes a center of public service. He pledged that corruption at any level would not be tolerated, promising strict action against those involved in corrupt activities. He also acknowledged the trust placed in him by Pakistan People’s Party leadership, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, stating that he would take all possible steps to improve the health department.
