Balochistan Minister Kakar’s Election Victory Upheld by Election Commission

Quetta, The Election Commission of Pakistan today upheld the election victory of Bakht Muhammad Kakar, the Provincial Minister for Livestock and Dairy Development, in a recent ruling against a challenge to his seat from PB 39 Quetta.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the challenge was brought forward by Syed Abdul Wahid Agha, who disputed Kakar’s victory in the elections. The commission’s decision to reject Agha’s appeal has been declared by Minister Kakar as a “victory for Haq” and “the victory of the people,” asserting that it reaffirms the people’s role as the true source of power.
