Balochistan right should be acknowledged on all its discovered natural resources-Mahmood Khan Achakzai

Islamabad, March 10, 2013 (PPI-OT): A delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) led by its President, Mr.Zafar Bakhtawari have a meeting with Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Baloch leader and chairman of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party for discussing the current challenges faced by Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahmood Khan Achakzai said factual right of Balochistan should be acknowledged on all its discovered natural resources for restoring peace in the province. He expressed deep concern over recent blasts in Quetta and said that people who are involved in terrorism in Balochistan do not want a prosperous Pakistan.

He highly condemned the killing of Muslims on the basis of difference of sect and said that even in Afghanistan no individual was targeted on basis of their sect and believes. Therefore, he urged all the political leaders to join hands to get rid of this problem as we want to make Pakistan a dignified, independent and prosper country in real sense.

Mr.Zafar Bakhtawari, President ICCI Balochistan province is full of minerals, oil and gas resources, therefore he urged the Government to take all possible steps to maintain law and order situation in the province.

ICCI President said political stability is a pre-requisite for economic growth and development of the country in the prevailing global scenario to offset the future fiscal challenges. There should have been plan for practicing good governance for sustaining and maintaining a sound political and socio-economic system in the country, he maintained.

He also expressed deep concern over continuous killing of Hazara people in Quetta and said that it is responsibility of political leaders of Balochistan to restore peace in the province. Mr.Munawar Mughal, Former President ICCI, Malik Sohail, Agha Siraj and Mr.Akhram Shah, General Secretary of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party were also present on the occasion.
