Balochistan to Establish National Driving License Branch, Aims to Provide Employment Opportunities Abroad

Quetta, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti presided over a meeting to review the establishment of a National Driving License Branch in Balochistan, focusing on creating employment opportunities for locals in Europe and the Middle East. The meeting discussed the significant demand for driving professionals abroad and outlined a strategy to capitalize on this demand to benefit the people of Balochistan.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting highlighted that Europe currently requires 300,000 driving professionals, while the Middle East has a demand for 100,000. The Chief Minister pointed out that despite limited educational opportunities, people with driving skills could find wide-ranging employment prospects abroad, especially if they are familiar with the local languages.

Chief Minister Bugti directed officials to submit a report on the establishment of driving schools under B-Tweta, Public-Private Partnership, or collaborative efforts. The proposed driving schools would provide not only driving training but also basic language skills in Arabic, French, and English. This initiative aims to equip the youth of Balochistan with the necessary skills to secure employment in Europe and the Middle East.

The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of promptly implementing the strategy to create opportunities for the people of Balochistan, noting that the successful execution of the project could significantly boost employment prospects for the region’s youth.
