BSF Shoots Bangladeshi Youth at Chuadanga Border

Chuadanga: A confrontation at the Thakurpur border in Damurhuda upazila, Chuadanga district, resulted in a Bangladeshi youth being shot and wounded by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) early Thursday morning.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the victim, identified as 29-year-old Azmul Hossain of Thakurpur village, was shot in the legs during an attempt to cross the border with a group of people around 5 a.m. The incident occurred when members of the BSF’s 82-Maluapara camp opened fire. While Hossain was injured, his associates managed to escape unharmed.

Following the incident, Hossain was admitted to Shaktinagar District Hospital in India, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.
