Dubai: Careem has announced the expansion of its Udhiya service this Eid Al Adha, enabling residents of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and, for the first time, Riyadh to conveniently pre-order or donate their Udhiya meat through the Careem app.
The service, available from May 15 to June 4 in the UAE and until one day before Eid in Riyadh, aims to facilitate one of the key practices of the Islamic calendar without requiring customers to leave their homes.
In Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Careem has partnered with Dhabayeh Al Emarat to provide customers with options to select their preferred goat or sheep, choose their cut type, and decide whether to have the meat delivered to their homes or donate it to the UAE Food Bank.
In Riyadh, Careem Market is collaborating with Al Jazeera Meat, offering residents a selection of sheep breeds such as Hari, Naeimi, and Suwaakni, weighing between 21 to 31 kilograms. Customers can choose their preferred day of sacrifice and have the meat delivered directly to their doorstep.
All sacrifices are performed according to Islamic guidelines, and deliveries are available during the four days of Eid.
To utilize the service, users need to open the Careem app, tap on the ‘Udhiya’ option, select their country and city, choose their preferred meat, and decide on delivery or donation.
Careem’s initiative aims to support community traditions and humanitarian efforts with ease and reliability.
