Lahore, June 21, 2023 (PPI-OT): Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi visited Benazir Bhutto Hospital Rawalpindi. Mohsin Naqvi reviewed the treatment facilities provided to patients in the hospital and inspected various wards. Mohsin Naqvi asked the patients and the doctors about the medical facilities in the hospital. Patients and practitioners have piled up complaints about inadequate treatment facilities. During the visit of caretaker chief minister Mohsin Naqvi, the ACs of various wards were off.
Patients were waiting for hours for X-rays, other tests and check-ups. Some of the duty doctors were absent in the wards and patients were dying for treatment while patients were being treated on stretchers in the corridors of the hospital. Patients and therapists told Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi that everything gets done immediately when the staff warms their fists. There is a shortage of medicines in the hospital and we are forced to order medicines from outside.
Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed his displeasure over the poor condition of treatment in the hospital. He criticized the MS and the hospital administration and expressed his indignation at the behaviour of the doctors and staff towards the patients. The caretaker chief minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the same conditions are seen in every hospital I go to. It is the patient’s right to get quality and prompt medical facilities. Is. He directed that provision of quality treatment facilities should be ensured in the hospital and the situation should be improved.
