Cement Sector Sees Impressive Start To Fiscal Year 2026

Islamabad: Pakistan’s cement sector recorded a substantial surge in dispatches for July 2025, reaching 4 million tons, a remarkable 30% year-on-year increase. This growth was fueled by a rise in both domestic and international shipments.

Local deliveries improved by 18% compared to July 2024, while exports saw a dramatic 84% jump, largely attributed to the lower baseline of the previous year.

The sector also witnessed a 16% month-on-month increase in shipments, with local and export volumes rising by 15% and 17%, respectively. This improvement is attributed to the higher number of working days in July 2025 following the Eid holidays in June 2025.

Industry analysts maintain a positive outlook for the cement sector, citing expectations of a domestic demand rebound after a four-year slump. Contributing factors include the anticipated positive effects of monetary easing, robust profit margins supported by reduced coal costs, and enhanced operational efficiencies.
