CENTCOM Commander Meets with Pakistan Army Chief to Discuss Regional Security and Training

Islamabad, General Michael Erik Kurilla, the Commander of the United States Central Command (US CENTCOM), met with General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Pakistan, at the General Headquarters (GHQ).

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the meeting focused on matters of shared interest, particularly regional security cooperation. Both sides explored avenues for joint training and emphasized the importance of enhancing training interactions between CENTCOM and the Pakistan Army. General Kurilla acknowledged the Pakistan Army’s successful counterterrorism efforts and appreciated Pakistan’s ongoing contributions to regional peace and stability.
