Chief Minister’s spokesman contradicts news item and clarify factual position regarding budgetary allocation for natural calamities

Karachi, June 18, 2012 (PPI-OT): The Spokesman of the Chief Minister Sindh has totally denied a news item appeared in daily The News and the daily Jang saying that “Sindh Keeps no money for flood threats this year”. He has clarified that the Government of Sindh has allocated an amount of Rs1800.000 million as budgetary provision keep during the financial year 2012-13 in connection with Disaster Management and relief.

According to details, and amount of Rs:500.000 million has been allocated for Natural Calamities for relief measures, Rs: 500.000 million for Provincial Disaster Management Authority Karachi, Rs: 500.000 million for Irrigation department Rs: 250.000 million for Agriculture and Food administrative while Rs: 50.000 million have been allocated for animal husbandry under Livestock and fisheries department. The baseless and fabricated news item released from Islamabad dateline is totally denied, the spokesman adds.
