Commerce Minister Calls for Opposition Consensus on Economic Charter

Islamabad: Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan has urged opposition parties to collaborate on a charter of economy, a move proposed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to safeguard the country’s broad interests.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a press conference, Minister Khan highlighted the government’s commitment to addressing the concerns of the business community as a priority, aiming to stimulate trade and business activities across the nation. He underscored the government’s active pursuit of policies that enhance the ease of doing business.

The minister also reviewed the government’s performance over the past five months, noting significant financial engagements with countries like Azerbaijan, China, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. These agreements are expected to positively affect the nation’s economic landscape.

Khan pointed out that Pakistan faces complex challenges that require long-term planning and a sincere approach to effectively address them. He expressed confidence in the current government’s strategy to amicably solve economic issues and rebuild the trust of the business community.
