Communication Minister calls on Prime Minister

Islamabad, May 17, 2013 (PPI-OT): Federal Minister for Communication, Mr. Asad Ullah Khan Mandokhel, called on Prime Minister Justice (R) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso at the Prime Minister’s House this morning.

Mr. Mandokhel briefed the Prime Minister of the progress made by the Ministry of Communication on the ongoing development projects in the light of measures taken by the caretaker government to accelerate the pace of work for the improvement of infrastructure in the country.

The Prime Minister said that connectivity is crucial for economic development and for the promotion of national harmony.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the quality of work, especially with regard to construction of roads, must be in accord with the international standards. These roads are lifeline and critical to socio-economic development of the country, maintained the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister expressed the confidence that the Ministry of Communication would further improve its administrative role to ensure effective monitoring and execution of the ongoing development projects.
