Islamabad: The 9th International Water Conference, themed Emerging Technologies for Water Security and Socio-Economic Development, is scheduled to take place on May 6-7, 2025, at the headquarters of the Standing Committee for Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMSTECH). This event will gather global experts to address pressing issues in water management and sustainability.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the conference is organized by COMSTECH in collaboration with the Refah Institute of Public Policy, the Pakistan Council for Research in Water Resources (PCRWR), WaterAid, and Haripur University. It aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, academics, and policymakers from around the world to engage in critical discussions about water management practices.
The conference will provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge and collaborative dialogue. Attendees will participate in academic presentations, interactive panel discussions, and specialized technical sessions. The goal is to guide policies and practices, stimulate cross-sector collaboration, and encourage innovative approaches to sustainable water resource management.
