Congress Leaders Detained During Protest in Jammu

Jammu: Several leaders and activists from the Congress party were detained by police in Jammu as they attempted to march towards the Raj Bhawan, the residence of the Lieutenant Governor, to protest against the increasing violence and perceived policy failures of the current administration.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest aimed to address concerns over security issues and the delegation of additional powers to the Lieutenant Governor. Despite police barricades, some protestors managed to continue their march before being detained. This incident is part of a broader effort by the Congress party to rally public support on these issues, particularly with the upcoming elections for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly on the horizon.
