Direct Umrah Flights from Quetta to Jeddah to Begin in August

Quetta: Governor Balochistan Jafar Khan Mandukhel has lauded the decision to initiate direct Umrah flights from Quetta to Jeddah starting August 6, 2024, as a significant convenience for the residents of Balochistan. This initiative, led by the federal government under Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), eliminates the need for travelers to first journey to Islamabad, Karachi, or Lahore.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the Governor expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the province’s population towards Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif, his team, and PIA officials for this strategic move. He highlighted that direct flights would save travelers’ time, energy, and money, while also marking a pivotal improvement in addressing a longstanding issue for the residents. Governor Mandukhel’s comments underscored the broader impacts of the decision, noting it as a reflection of the government’s commitment to public welfare and its focus on enhancing the developmental prospects of Balochistan through collaborative and insightful leadership.
