Islamabad: Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister, emphasized significant economic improvements during a news conference today, highlighting the ongoing digitization of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) as a pivotal development. This initiative is expected to substantially boost the tax to GDP ratio, reflecting a stronger economic framework.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Khan pointed out that the digitization efforts have already resulted in about forty-two thousand retailers being included in the tax net. Additionally, he provided updates on the progress of privatizing the national airline, PIA, marking further advancements in the government’s economic reform agenda.
