Criminal Investigation Agency Police arrests 12 notorious dacoits; recovers valuables worth millions of rupees

Islamabad: Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police has busted three gangs and arrested its 12 notorious criminals besides recovering looted items worth Rs. 1.95 millions, gold ornaments, two motorbikes, one car, Kalashnikov, two 30 bore pistols and electronic equipments from their possession, a police spokesman said.

Inspector General of Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan assigned the task to SP Investigation Ch. Liaqat Ali to take effective measures to curb dacoity and theft incidents. Special teams under supervision of SP Ch. Liaqat Ali were constituted including In-Charge CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon, Sub-Inspector Shamas ul Akbar, Muhammad Azam, Muhammad Basheer and others.

These team arrested eight Afghan nationals and a proclaimed offender. During the initial investigation, these nabbed persons confessed their involvement in 16 theft and dacoity incidents in the city and police also recovered gold ornaments, two motorbikes, one car, Kalashnikov, two 30 bore pistol and electronic equipments from them. They committed nine theft and dacoity incidents in the area of Shalimar police station, four in Margallah police area, and three in Koral police area.

Out of these nabbed persons, eight are Afghan nationals and identified as Mir Baz s/o Abdul Manan, Rahim Ullah s/o Ameer Aman Khan, Syed Karim s/o Muhammad Hanif, Abdul Hadi s/o Khan Jan, Nizam Uddin s/o Behram Khan, Sher Dil s/o Khush Dil, Karim Ullah, Abdul Wahab.

Other accused have been identified as Mushtaq, Vikram Masih residents of Narowal, Muhammad Riaz resident of Abdul Hakeem Khanewal, Khurram Ali Abbasi s/o Saghar Akbar Abbasi resident of Muzaffarabad. IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan has appreciated this performance and directed to further accelerate efforts to apprehend anti-social elements.
