Death of Kashmiri journalist’s father widely condoled

Srinagar, January 17, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed grief and shock over the sad demise of Khwaja Abdul Rehman Butt, father of journalists Raja Mohid-ud-Din and Akash Amin Butt, owner of a Kashmir-based newspaper.

Expressing his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement offered special prayers for the deceased.

A Hurriyet delegation comprising Muhammad Musaddiq Aadil, Farooq Mamoosi and Mir Ghulam Hassan participated in the funeral prayers of the deceased.

APHC Media Advisor Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam also offered his heartfelt condolences over the sad demise of Khwaja Abdul Rehman Butt.

APHC leaders including Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Javed Ahmad Mir, Zafar Akbar Butt, Hakeem Abdul Rasheed, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Advocate Abdul Majid Banday, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War and Abdul Manan Bukhari also expressed their grief over the sad demise of Butt.

Meanwhile, Zafar Akbar Butt held various meetings at Pulwama, Arihal, Janwal, and Tahab areas and visited the houses of the martyrs. He also met the family members of the child who went missing in Azadpur New Delhi.
