Delegation (Faculty and Students) of Hassan Abdal Cadet College to ECP Secretariat

Islamabad, July 07, 2023 (PPI-OT): A delegation of students of Cadet College Hasanabdal, Lead by the faculty members visited the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Secretariat today, 7th July 2023, for the purpose of briefing on ECP’s initiatives and mechanisms. The interactive session was chaired by Secretary ECP Omar Hamid Khan, in which he briefed participants that they are the agents of change in society and also replied the queries of young students. The session gave them valuable insights into the ECP’s role in ensuring transparent and inclusive elections in Pakistan.

During the meeting, comprehensive briefings were provided on key aspects such as electoral processes, technology integration in the electoral process, voter education and initiatives to encourage youth participation in electoral processes. The Faculty appreciated ECP s initiatives during the interactive session and requested ECP for arranging youth voter awareness sessions at Cadet College Hassan Abdal. Later, mock-poll exercise was also conducted with the focus to introduce the youth with the entire polling process. At the end Secretary ECP Omar Hamid Khan gave certificates to the participants and presented shield to the Faculty members of Cadet College Hassan Abdal.
