Deputy Mayor of Karachi Calls for Development Focus During City Tour

Karachi: Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad emphasized the need for constructive efforts rather than criticism in the wake of recent rains, during his tour of various city areas including Tariq Road, Bahadurabad, Gulshan Iqbal, Nursery, and Shahrah-e-Faisal.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Murad addressed the absence of the town chairman from Jamaat-e-Islami, questioning his presence and involvement in the city’s development at this crucial time. The Deputy Mayor highlighted that the Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) staff were actively responding to areas affected by the rains, deploying resources as necessary. He stressed that both he and Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab were personally overseeing the efforts on the streets to manage the city’s challenges during the rainy season.

Murad’s statements underline a push for leadership involvement and direct action in addressing urban issues, particularly during weather-related emergencies that impact the city’s infrastructure and the daily lives of its residents.
