Tragic Drowning in Pahalgam Claims Life of Sopore Youth

Srinagar: A 24-year-old man from Sopore tragically drowned in the Lidder River in the Pahalgam area of Islamabad district in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. The incident occurred under circumstances that are still being investigated.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the youth, identified as Basit Ahmad Butt, drowned near Laganbal in Lidder River. Authorities were quick to respond, and a rescue operation was promptly initiated following the incident. Despite the swift efforts of the rescue team, Butt’s body was recovered from the river soon after.
