Education Ministry Announces New Centers to Boost Tech Skills Among School Children

Islamabad: The Ministry of Federal Education is set to launch a significant initiative designed to integrate emerging technologies into the school curriculum by establishing “Emerging Technology Centers” in 350 schools across Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, this project forms a key part of the government’s strategy to position Pakistan as a major player in the global IT industry. The centers will focus on critical areas such as virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and data analytics, aiming to familiarize children with the technologies that will shape their future professional environments.

The initiative not only seeks to enhance students’ IT skills but also aims to bolster Pakistan’s IT sector capabilities and export potential, marking a proactive step towards transforming the country into a significant global IT hub.
