Eid-ul-Fitr to be Celebrated in Pakistan on Wednesday After Moon Sighting

Islamabad, Pakistan is set to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr tomorrow, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, following the sighting of the Shawwal crescent.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the moon sighting was confirmed by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, with Chairman Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad announcing the decision after a meeting in Islamabad this evening. Concurrently, meetings of Zonal Committees took place in provincial capitals to corroborate the moon sighting.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting released the details of the sighting and the subsequent decision, setting the stage for the festivities of Eid-ul-Fitr across the country.
