Farooq Abdullah Criticizes BJP for Intimidating Voters in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of employing intimidation tactics against Hindu voters in the run-up to the forthcoming assembly elections in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during a rally in Srinagar, Abdullah highlighted that the BJP is leveraging “fear and intimidation” to influence voter behavior, particularly within the Jammu region. His remarks followed a visit by Indian Home Minister Amit Shah to the area, during which Shah announced several development projects and engaged with the local Hindu community.

Abdullah expressed concerns over Shah’s visit, interpreting it as an effort to “divide” the residents of Jammu and Kashmir rather than unite them ahead of the elections.
