Faysal Bank Limited to elect 11 directors uncontested at upcoming Extra Ordinary General Meeting

Karachi, Faysal Bank Limited has announced that the upcoming Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EOGM) of the company, scheduled to be held on May 11, 2023, will see the election of 11 directors uncontested. The bank has received notices of intention to contest the election of directors from 11 persons, including Farooq Rahmatullah Khan, Ahmed Abdul Rahim Mohamed Abdulla Butchery, Mian Muhammad Younis, and others.

Since the number of candidates does not exceed the number of directors fixed by the Board of Directors in its meeting held on February 23, 2023, under Section 159(1) of the Companies Act, 2017, the 11 candidates will be deemed elected unopposed. The list of candidates who will be elected uncontested also includes Ali Munir, Fatima Asad Khan, Mohsin Tariq, and Sadia Khan.
