Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry presents Pak energy situation in Sichuan Forum

Karachi, June 03, 2013 (PPI-OT): Tariq Sayeed, former President of SCCI who leads South Asian business delegation will address inaugural session of 4th Sichuan-South Asia Business Promotion Seminar under the theme of “Future Energy – The Development of Electrical Power Industry in South Asian Countries, Potential and Opportunities” along with Vice Governor of Sichuan on Tuesday. Zubair Ahmed Malik, President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) who is leading private sector from Pakistan will make presentation on areas of cooperation in energy and power sector between Sichuan and Pakistan.

Iqbal Tabish, Secretary General, SCCI will moderate business session to be addressed by private sector and government representatives from South Asian countries including Ambassadors of Bangladesh and Maldives to China.

The seminar will be inaugurated by H.E. Gan Lin, Vice Governor of Sichuan Province of the People’s Republic of China tomorrow at Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan Province.

The Business promotion Seminar, which is a regular annual feature is hosted by Chinese Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Sichuan sub-council and is organised in collaboration with National Federations/Chambers from South Asian countries under the auspices of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).

The seminar will be addressed by business leaders from CCPIT Sichuan Province and South Asian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, practitioners and experts on power Sector.

Pakistan delegation which left for China included Shaheen Ilyas Sarwana and Gulzar Firoz, Vice Presidents of FPCCI, Munawwar Baig Mughal, former President Islamabad CCI, Nasir Uddin Sheikh , Chairman Fairs and Exhibition Committee, FPCCI, Sheikh Abdul Razzaq and Muhammad Shoaib, Executive Committee Member of FPCCI and Hena Mansab Khan, member women entrepreneur council of SCCI.
