Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has expressed optimism regarding the upcoming approval of a seven billion dollar loan program from the IMF for Pakistan, anticipated next month.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Aurangzeb, in a text message to Reuters, conveyed that Pakistan is progressing well in its discussions with the International Monetary Fund. He also mentioned ongoing talks with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and China aimed at meeting the gross financing needs stipulated under the impending IMF program. The 37-month loan agreement with the IMF, reached last month, is set to bolster Pakistan’s economic stability and growth prospects.
