Finance Minister Lauds FBR for Surpassing Revenue Targets

Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has praised the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for achieving a significant milestone by collecting 9,311 billion rupees, exceeding the revenue target for the fiscal year 2023-24. The commendation came during his visit to the FBR headquarters, where he engaged with Chairman Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana and other board members.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Finance Minister’s visit highlighted his confidence in the FBR’s ongoing performance and its crucial role in meeting the government’s fiscal objectives. The meeting also focused on appreciating the efforts of the FBR team, who surpassed the revenue goals despite facing numerous challenges.

The discussions further emphasized the government’s dedication to fortifying the FBR and backing its initiatives to boost revenue collection, digitization, and economic documentation. These efforts are seen as key to strengthening the nation’s economic foundation.
