Finance Minister Reviews Plans for Mobile Broadband Expansion Through IMT Spectrum Release

Islamabad: The Advisory Committee on the Release of International Mobile Telephony (IMT) Spectrum convened today to deliberate strategic plans for enhancing Pakistan’s mobile broadband services.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting, chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, involved key telecommunication stakeholders and regulatory authorities. They discussed the allocation and utilization of the IMT spectrum, which is expected to substantially improve connectivity and internet speeds across Pakistan. The discussions also focused on the auction process, technical specifications, and timelines, aiming to foster an environment conducive to technological advancements and investment in the telecommunications sector.
