Islamabad: In a remarkable display of national pride, a flag hoisting ceremony was conducted at Khunjerab top, the highest point in Pakistan, to celebrate the country’s Independence Day. The event, attended by Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Haji Gulbar Khan and Commander FCNA, also marked the inauguration of eleven IT centers, emphasizing the integration of technology in education and governance.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the ceremony drew a large crowd, including children who performed national songs, adding to the festive atmosphere. The new IT centers inaugurated on this occasion reflect the government’s commitment to enhancing digital access and educational resources across the region, fostering a brighter future for its youth.
