Flash Flood in Hangu Claims Life of Young Boy, Local Authorities Respond with Aid

Hangu: A tragic incident on August 6, 2024, due to a flash flood in the Pirano Darband area of Hangu, resulted in the death of a young boy and the partial collapse of his family’s home.

According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority, the house of Mr. Asghar Shah suffered significant damage when one of its rooms collapsed during the flash flood. His son, Azaibullah Shah, aged approximately 12-13 years, was fatally injured in the incident. In response, local authorities have stepped in to provide immediate relief to the bereaved family.

The Assistant Deputy Commissioner (R and HR) visited the affected site shortly after the incident and delivered essential non-food items to the family. The aid included one tent, one kitchen set, one iron bed, and one blanket, aiming to support the family’s immediate needs and help them begin to recover from the tragic loss.
