New Jersey: Former U.S. President Donald Trump has returned to his New Jersey residence following an assassination attempt during an election rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The incident left Trump with a minor injury and tragically resulted in the death of one spectator, with two others critically injured.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Trump was targeted last night by a gunman, identified by the FBI as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who was subsequently shot and killed by the Secret Service. During the attack, Trump, who is campaigning for another presidential term, was shot in the ear, leading to visible injuries. Despite this, he briefly took cover before resuming his stance, fist raised, in defiance.
The violence has prompted a national conversation, with President Joe Biden denouncing the attack and calling for all Americans to reject such acts of violence, which he described as ‘sick.’
