FPCCI Introduces Trader-Friendly Scheme in Karachi, Aiming to Simplify Tax Payments

Karachi, The Sindh Regional Standing Committee for Small Traders of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) recently convened at Federation House to discuss the new FBR-Tajer Dost scheme. The initiative is designed to encourage tax compliance and make financial regulations more accessible for small traders.

According to Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the meeting featured a detailed explanation of the scheme, which aims to simplify the tax process and make it more business-friendly. Key speakers, including RD Neter Mohammad Naeem Mir, Chief Commissioner of RTI Dr. Mohammad Sarmad Qureshi, and FPCCI’s Senior Vice President Saqib Fayaz Magu, highlighted the scheme’s benefits and addressed the business community’s concerns about current fiscal policies.

The dialogue emphasized the need for government policy improvements to foster a cooperative tax environment. Saqib Fayaz Magu noted that welcoming those who wish to pay taxes is crucial and stressed the importance of transforming the FBR’s public perception to encourage wider participation in the tax system. Additionally, Chief Coordinator Naeem Mir pointed out that over twenty-two thousand traders have already registered for the Trader Dost scheme, which supports both filers and non-filers alike.

The session concluded with FPCCI leaders promising support to traders in navigating the new system, ensuring that the business community can rely on the Federation’s assistance rather than seeking external legal help.
