Karachi, His Excellency Mr. Nicolas Galey, the French Ambassador to Pakistan, accompanied by senior team members including Mr. Alexis Chahtahtinsky, Consul General, Mr. Laurent Chopiton, Head of Economic Department, and Ms. Reema Sukhiani, Press Attache, visited the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) on October 17, 2023. The delegation was welcomed by Amir Paracha, President of OICCI, Mr. M. Abdul Aleem, Secretary General, and Mr. Kashif Shafi, Executive Director.

He underscored the Chamber’s dedication to ensuring that its members’ concerns are aptly relayed to the pertinent authorities. Mr. Paracha accentuated the lasting allure of the Pakistani market, highlighting its vast middle class and its rank as the world’s fifth most populous country. He further illuminated the lucrative incentives and openings accessible to potential French investors in Pakistan, pinpointing sectors ripe for investment.
The Chamber’s ongoing liaison with numerous government departments and ministries, advocating for a stable, transparent, and consistent policy framework, was underscored. OICCI also champions endeavours like widening the tax base and endorsing a forward-looking Industrial and Investment policy, all the while nurturing effective public-private collaborations.
