Government Considers Review Petition on Supreme Court Decision, Focuses on Economic Recovery

Islamabad: Rana Sanaullah, the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political and Public Affairs, announced that the government is considering filing a review petition against the Supreme Court’s recent decision on reserved seats. During a news conference on Friday, Sanaullah emphasized the government’s respect for the judiciary while addressing the potential legal action.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the final decision on whether to file the review petition will be determined by the cabinet. Sanaullah also confirmed that the coalition government holds the majority in the National Assembly and in the provincial assemblies of Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan. He reiterated that the administration’s primary focus remains on navigating the country out of its current economic challenges.
