Government Unveils Ambitious Digital Strategy for Tech-Driven Transformation

Islamabad: The Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, announced the government’s comprehensive strategy aimed at enhancing the lives of citizens through technological advancements. Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad marking the completion of Pakistan’s ten-year digital roadmap, Khawaja emphasized the transformative impact of technology on everyday life.

Addressing attendees, the minister highlighted the ‘Digital Nation Pakistan’ initiative, which she described as a revolutionary step by the government. The initiative is designed to simplify daily tasks with a single click, underscoring the administration’s commitment to integrating technology into citizens’ lives.

Khawaja pointed out that the focus areas of the strategy include E-governance, Artificial Intelligence, and data security. These components are intended to streamline operations within the country, promoting efficiency and transparency. She further noted that a cashless economy is a fundamental aspect of the digital economy envisioned by the government.

Additionally, the Minister reaffirmed the government’s dedication to creating opportunities for youth in the IT sector. This initiative aims to equip the younger generation with the skills needed to thrive in the evolving technological landscape.
