Governor Sindh Welcomes Jamaat-e-Islami’s Sit-in, Cites Democratic Rights

Karachi: Governor Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesuri, expressed his support for the planned sit-in by Jamaat-e-Islami outside the governor’s house, recognizing it as a valid exercise of democratic rights.

According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesuri welcomed the protest but emphasized the importance of maintaining respect for ongoing activities within the premises, specifically the IT classes held at the Governor’s House. He highlighted that while the doors of the Governor’s House are open to the public, the training and maintenance of what he termed ‘the nation’s architects’ remain a shared responsibility. He also advised the leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami to focus their protests on venues where issues can effectively be addressed and resolved.
